Wētā FX - From Caesar's funeral pyre to plants interacting with wind and CG characters, a kilometre of rapids requiring a petabyte of storage, and a fully-CG water-filled silo with wet apes and underwater action, the FX simulations in Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes were monumental. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is the winner of the 2025 VES Award for Outstanding Visual Effects in a Photoreal Feature.
