Wētā FX - Raka, as mentor and hero, being the only surviving member of the order of Caesar, displays an extreme range of emotion throughout the film. Over 560,000 renderable fur strands were carefully groomed and then dressed with water, dust, debris and anything else Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes threw at this character. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is the winner of the 2025 VES Award for Outstanding Visual Effects in a Photoreal Feature.
