Discover all the work that went into this thrilling project, where multiple layers of creativity and technology came together. Using new tools and techniques, our studios from Montreal, Quebec, Toronto, LA and Paris collaborated to capture every futuristic detail, transforming the song’s high energy into a stunning visual spectacle.

The long-awaited return of BLACKPINK called for a music video like no other. To mark the release of 뛰어 (JUMP), the group’s newest single, we teamed up with acclaimed director Dave Meyers and production company Freenjoy to create a visual world as powerful and dynamic as BLACKPINK itself.

This project was made possible by leveraging AI tools combined with traditional CG techniques, bringing together our teams in Montreal, Los Angeles, Toronto, Quebec City, and Paris, with the shared goal of pushing creative boundaries and delivering a visually striking experience. Over three intense weeks of postproduction, our teams leveraged time zone differences to optimize each workday, develop new techniques, and make the most of next-gen tools to bring the JUMP video to life.

Under the creative vision of Dave Meyers and BLACKPINK, Rodeo FX delivered the innovative visual effects for the video, blending technical expertise with bold artistic direction. With a controlled and thoughtful use of AI tools, our artists crafted futuristic urban landscapes, ecstatic crowd simulations, and a plethora of effects. This innovative use of next-gen tools proved instrumental in delivering such an ambitious project on time.

We also created laser effects using traditional VFX techniques and helped transform the urban environments with spectacular street tilting. Every detail was designed to enhance the video’s impact and elevate its futuristic aesthetic.
