Our Character/ Creature Animator takes pride in creating realistic and expressive animation. You will work collaboratively with other VFX artists to realize our client’s vision.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Take direction from VFX and CG Supervisors to create natural character/ creature motion
Work closely with 3D modellers and Texture Artists in character/ creature development
Raise technical issues to Supervisors and Technical Directors and collaborate in problem-solving
Design effective rigs for character/ creature models
Qualifications & Skills:
2-4 years of experience as an animation preferably in a live-action VFX pipeline
High proficiency in Maya
Knowledge of programming language such as Python is an asset
Knowledge and application of human anatomy in relation to realistic movement
Knowledge of asset manager such as Shotgun is an asset
Capacity to thrive in a results-driven pipeline.
Ability to multitask, prioritize and problem solve.
A proven eye for detail, scale and realism
